Ateka Gunja, MD FACC

Location: East Brunswick and Edison

Dr. Ateka Gunja grew up in East Brunswick and is proud to return to her hometown. She specializes in non-invasive cardiology, with an emphasis on preventative health and women’s cardiology. Dr. Gunja graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Berkeley, and then completed medical school at Tulane University, internal medicine residency at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital and her cardiology fellowship at the University of Illinois, Chicago. 

Dr. Gunja specializes in the early diagnosis and treatment of coronary artery disease, heart failure, and heart disease in women. She is board certified in transesophageal echocardiography (TEE), transthoracic echocardiography, nuclear stress testing and general cardiology.  

Dr. Gunja is honored to join the group, and looks forward to building a flourishing practice in East Brunswick.
